The mint on the sill put out another stem. I saw it at breakfast and forgot to water it. It was still there the next morning.

A small notebook of mine. Cooking, walking, weather, and things too slight to be essays. Chinese and English sit side by side, so I can see how they lean on each other.

窗台、饭菜、路上听到的半句话。多数只有几行。
The sill, the supper, half a sentence overheard. Usually a few lines.

按日子写下的片段。隔几周翻出来，会看见当时自己在想什么。
Dated fragments. A few weeks later I can tell what I was circling.
- 学习Learning
书、句子、突然想明白的一件小事。不是课堂笔记。
Books, sentences, a small thing that clicked. Not class notes.
有些句子先用英文想，再写成中文，意思会偏一点。偏了也不改，留着。
Some sentences arrive in English first. The Chinese version leans a little. I leave the lean in.
把旧笔记中英并排抄了一遍。不是为了练翻译，是想看自己当时到底在说什么。

有空就写一点，没空就空着。 I write when there's something to write.
